Sorry I haven't really posted, I just haven't had the energy. For the past week, I've been batting illness after illness. Started with a cold and sinus problems, no big deal, then turned into an ear infection in my left ear. I felt it coming, and tried to ward it off, but it was no use. Felt like someone was shoving an icepick in my ear, after hitting me in the side of the jaw with a sledgehammer. I just started popping ibuprofen like candy. missed a day, and was late one 2 days to lab, one because I slept through my alarm, and the other because I woke up earlier than normal and to kill the extra time I put a heating pad on my ear, and it felt so good, I fell right back asleep. I'm trying to me more consistant, really. If only I weren't poor, then I could afford to go to the doctor and get real medicine when I get sick. Saturday was the worst. I woke up and, low and behold, I've got an infection in my right ear now too. Right then I decided to go in for medicine. got some Amoxicilin, some ear drops, and some Tylenol 3 with codeine. The doctor asked me which ear was the least bad, and I told him the right one, which had just started to hurt that morning, and he looked, and even he was suprised at how bad it was, hence the pills AND eardrops. Even told me to do a follow up today, if I wasn't feeling better. I definitely wasn't, so I called the clinic to make an appointment. Turns out that the urgent care and the clinic don't communicate, so I had no chance for a follow up appointment with them. So my mom gave me her doctor's, and after I talked to the nice receptionist for a few minutes, and she told the doctors about my situation, they both (the doctor's) recomended Dr. Llaurado, a specialist, since if they saw me and had to refer me, I'd end up paying for both visits instead of one. He checks out my right ear, which is now the one that hurts the most and is giving me all the trouble (the left is just a bit tender at this point, and as long as I take a few ibuprofen, it doesn't bother me) and then suctions out my ears and drops in some medicine, which burns like a motherf*cker. Comes back with some samples of a newer, stronger ear drop, that I guess is pretty expensive, and tells me to come back in like 10 days (I set the appointment up for the first monday after that, can't miss any more school) because my ear canal is so swolen, he can't see into my inner ear to see if it's infected or not. Got out of there for $72. Must remember to get him comp tickets to Fiddler, and probably some of the summer stuff, since I won't be able to work sound if I go deaf because of these infections. CANNOT LOSE ABILITY TO WORK BEFORE I EVEN FINISH SCHOOL TO PREPARE FOR WORK!!!!
