Watching the funeral of Ronald Reagan as I type this, I cannot help but consider the questions that have been weighing on my mind of late. The title of this post says it best, for I am thinking of the nature of reality, the nature of self.
I once thought that Descartes’ formula “Cogito, ergo sum” was irrefutable. I was wrong.
Or maybe it is more a manner of semantics. For indeed, “I” do think, but who is the ‘I’ that is thinking?
That is what “I” seek.
