Pain and Beauty
Whenever I am opening to the world lately - especially during my spiritual practice - I am opening up to beauty and pain. There is so much beauty I am grateful for, so much laughter, dancing and earthy delights. At the same time whenever I am breathing mana and uniting my energies with those of the Earth, there is Pain that is felt. There are toxins in the waters killing fish. There is pain in the hearts of those who are getting raped just this second. There are girls, who are getting mutilated. Boys, who are forced to go to war and kill each other. There are animals that burn in and with the ancient forests where new fields are created for the Western diet. There is pain all over the world - some of which is unavoidable while some is - and how can I connect to the Earth without connecting to these parts as well? The question is what to do with it. There is healing I can faciliate and nourish, but I cannot heal all pain, all contamination, all suffering. Sometimes all I can do is to hold space and compassion, breath and pray. May this be enough.
