Insights at midnight / Sex and Art
I had a great conversation with my best friend yesterday. It ended with an interesting conclusion:
The only reason humans create culture (religions, art, traditions etc.) is to improve the sex they have with the Multiverse.
Human beings basically experience their environment through the stimulation of receptors/ receptor cells. This reaction to outer impulses is one of the fundamental ways we have Sex with the Multiverse. Music and other arts, religious systems and traditions offer among other things specific ways to stimulate our receptors. Therefore by choosing our religious systems and preferred art forms, we make as well choices about how we want to interact with the Multiverse and make a statement of what kind of Sex we enjoy with it. Thus by defining and refining our arts and traditions we improve the Joy we have by our Love making.
