* I'm not a Hamiltonian, even though I do support his financial policies. (Look, my take on Founding fathers and the politics around the constitution are extremely complex, and we've no time for them here. My take on RL Hamilton as opposed to the musical have evolved over a lifetime, and ar of the same complexity as, say, my views on john Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin). Which is to say, I strongly suspect Mr. Yoo and I clearly have different 18th century politics and thus likely have pretty different views about modern American politics as a result, but he has a lot of really interesting things to say here. Why do I mention this? Because people assume I agree with every point of every article I post and occasionally demand I defend positions I don't hold. I am posting this because it makes a lot of interesting points, some of which I agree with and some other points I'd love to argue about at a dinner party with the author. * TNG Rewatch, Season 5/6:

- Time's Arrow. (I'm combining a two parter). So this is the one where Data goes back in time and an away team goes after him. I remember liking this one when it was new. I love Guinan's dress. I love Whoopi Goldberg's performance in the Twain intro scene even more. I was way more up on my Clemens when this first aired than I am now, but I do remember having serious issues with where this was on Clemens' real life history and thinking his reaction was not what one would expect this late in his life, given his depression and solipsism, but I'm honestly not up to doing the research it would take to see if this recollection is correct. Picard and Guinan have real chemistry in this one.
