* Ah, the Party of Personal Responsibility once again refusing to take personal responsibility for their own actions. "Congress overrides Obama veto, blames Obama:"

* Donald Trump and his surrogates have spent all week claiming that literally bullying a woman into an eating disorder over a fifteen pound weight gain was the right thing to do because she was "disgusting" and repeatedly attacking her in the media right now is somehow presidential and that she deserved it for daring to win a beauty contest back in 1996. He has capped it off by slut shaming her because he fantasized that she starred in a sex tape he imagined in the middle of the night last night. O.o Donald Trump actually appeared in a real porn in 2000, Playboy Centerfold. Not that there's anything wrong about appearing in a porn, but he's attacking her because he imagined she was in one, when he actually was in one. How fucked up is it to attack someone for a thing you did in the first place? What standard of evidence involves deciding that if you can imagine a thing it’s real and then trying to destroy someone over it?
* Donald Trump keeps claiming that Hillary Clinton hasn't the stamina to be President even though she withstood eleven hours of questioning a couple months ago in a Congressional hearing and was strong enough to campaign for days with pneumonia, while he has trouble holding it together for a one hour debate and hasn't the stamina to handle debate prep. Talk about double standards on measuring fitness for office. Can the bar be any lower for men or any higher for women?

- The Host. the Trill makeup is entirely different, which startled me. This episode was so important to us when it was new because of the gender implications, yet somhow I forgot they redesigned Trill for DS9. The Trill cultural continuity is also a mess between here and DS9. Re-association anyone? How about personality change between hosts? I am glad they fleshed out Trills later, just as I am glad they redid and fleshed out the Ferengi, it's just a startle. We were so angry that Beverly Crusher couldn't be bi and that she couldn't accept her lover's transition. We wanted so much more from Star Trek. I still do.
- The Mind's Eye. Picard stubbornly rubbing the noses of the Klingon officials in the shitty thing they did to Worf without actually ever saying that's what he's doing always pleases me. Enter Tasha's Romulan Doppleganger and more of the Romulan infiltration arc. Poor Jordi. What a terrible thing to do to a person.
