* House Republicans are so attached to the Confederate Flag as a symbol of bigotry, lynching, segregation and a commitment to denying African Americans the right to vote, that they tried to float an amendment to force the Federal Government to fly it in National Parks and Cemeteries. Luckily, Nancy Polosi led the Democrats in a strong fight against this amendment and John Boehner was forced to withdraw it. I bet Thaddeus Stevens is spinning in his grave to see his party embrace evils he fought so hard against in his lifetime.
* Jeb Bush wants you to know that people working two or three jobs only to live in poverty are poor because they aren't working hard enough and that it has nothing to do with wage stagnation for the middle class or the fact that minimum wage is so low it leaves people with no choice but to go on public assistance despite working 70-80 hours a week. He insists that if they just worked harder at even more jobs, presumably foregoing all sleep they could magically turn the economic reality around.
