* Protests are getting more violent over the police turning 43 students over to a cartel to be dismembered in Iguala. In Chilpancingo de los Bravo, the Guerrero state capital, they have attacked the Capital building and are understandably furious at police. Police have been retreating in the face of crowds having none of their crap.
* A suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber attacked a school in Nigeria and killed 47 students.
* The Spanish government is rejecting the results of Catalonia's vote for independence.
* So is the ABC Minneapolis affiliate so racist they turned a heart warming story about a felon trying to get his life back on track through volunteer work into a piece claim that pointing is proof of gang membership, or were they set up by Minneapolis police to look like idiots as an attempt to take down a Mayor trying to get police to stop the death threats against innocent citizens for protesting police brutality? I'm guessing a bit of both.

* Walking Dead: So can Glenn and/or Maggie be in charge of that group now? Because clearly they are way better at it than the Abraham/Eugene leadership team. Similarly, can Carol take over the other half when they get reunited again? Because she's way better at it than Rick.
* Doctor Who Season Finale: Honestly, I don't want to see Moffat in the Who franchise anymore. Despite the lovely little memorial for the Brig in last episode, I was otherwise so angry at the last episode that I may be done with Who entirely. I've been a fan since at least 1973 (Pertwee and Tom Baker were both played by local PBS affiliates. I may have been watching since before '73, but before I was three, my memories are sporadic vignettes, and my thinking was pretty alien). Moffat's persistent misogyny, lack of inclusion, and tendency to piss on fandom at length and from a great height have made it a chore to watch. I shouldn't have to make myself watch the way I force myself to make lung samples and with as much pleasure, not after four+ decades loving this show.
I do not remotely blame the acting talent here. I can see them trying so hard to make the material work, much as Poor Sir Anthony Hopkins did in "Bram Stoker's Dracula (a whole other rant).
While RTD didn't always make choices I agreed with, I felt deliberately included in his version of the whoverse for the first time ever, and I felt like he loved the franchise and wanted us all to love it to. By comparison, Moffat's gone out of his way to make sure those of us who are not straight white cis men know we are not wanted and any bones he throws to inclusion are grudging, half assed, and caked with shit.
Fuck Moffat. He's killing something I loved my whole life pretty clearly on purpose and out of contempt for the rest of us. I am tired of his smug, self satisfaction at hurting people who loved Who. Seriously, Fuck, Moffat. I'm done.
