* At least forty are dead in what is believed to be a natural gas explosion in Prague. The are still digging survivors from the ruins, so no firm figures are available.
* As of this evening 380 were confirmed dead in the Bangladesh factory collapse. Many are still missing and presumed dead at this point. Eight people have been arrested. Protests and mourning continue.
* Meanwhile, no one has been arrested in the explosion in West, despite the owners being every bit as culpable and the loss of life being so much larger than the Boston Bombing. There are no protests, no demands for arrests, and no calls for properly funding regulators so they can do frequent inspections and giving agencies means to enforce the regulations when violations are found.

Usually the debate is whether it was invasion or slave revolt that caused the collapse. I'm of the opinion it was likely both. There is evidence of invasion in the North, but not in the south where massive slave revolt is more plausible. It wouldn't surprise me if one triggered the other though there is no way to tell which came first with current evidence. (Ie: A massive slave revolt could make the cities look attractive to invaders, but also an invasion would be a good time for slaves to revolt.) Earthquake has been a less popular theory because the fault lines don't correlate well with the Mycenaean cities that collapsed. I do think looking for evidence is a very good idea, whether or not they find any. (I'm not convinced finding evidence invalidates the idea that invasion and/or slave revolt happened also. Again, any event causing significant disruption could tempt people to invade or revolt.)
