* I got very little sleep in small chunks for a variety of reasons. The financial meeting involved me reading for an hour at the notaries desk with small flurries of trying to find key data on paperwork, confirming things verbally and signing things. It turns out it was the tail end of my Dad's IRA disbursing and not the house sale money so I still have no fucking clue when or how much is coming. Which means we still can't sign our lease as we don't know if we can afford to live here. Which means I still can't do my trip to San Fransisco for my little surgery. Which means I can't sort out a bunch of things needing sorting. Sigh.
My dreams this week are all family I will never see again. Last night was a huge passel of my New Jersey cousins. I think it has to do with my continuing randomly feverish and all the stuff with the financial paperwork.
I am being haunted by "Bring him Home" the last few days. Even two decades later, when I hear it, I see the girl who left the room weeping for her brother who'd just died while away in the army, and the now dead boy who ran out to comfort her. Their relationship was in it's last month; I would date him a few months later. The image of her tears for her dead soldier brother who I never met and my soldier who would die too young twine together with the lyrics always, always.
