RecPick #5 - Misfits
As always I'm late to the show but I'm now all caught up on two seasons of e4's Misfits, my favorite show even though there is no LGBT character as of now.
If you need comparisons, I would say, the show is a mix of Skins and Smallville. It's about a group of young delinquents who gain superpowers through a mysterious storm. Often the powers have something to do with what that person was doing at the time or their emotional state. Our heroes are the definition of anti-heroes but they never have evil intentions. They are just outsiders and now have to deal and adjust to these new changes. Oh and they tend to kill their probation officers (in self defense). 2 and counting... :)
My favorite character is Kelly played by Lauren Socha.
She is just such a stand out character, a strong independent girl with a heart of gold who just says whatever she wants. Sometimes she likes to resolve issues with her fist but she is also very protective of people she cares about (she threatened Curtis and Nathan to leave Simon alone).
Now I have to confess I ship Kelly and Nathan. They are just so awesome together with their one-liners.
