RecPick #3 - Lost Girl On Showcase (spoilerish)
If you are looking for a fun and campy show that seems like a mix of Buffy, Blood Ties, The Gates and other shows with supernatural themes, look no further. I present Lost Girl, a Canadian show about a young woman Bo (played by Anna Silk), who has a habit of "waking up next to dead lovers".
She is a succubus (species) who are part of the Fae (genus). The Fae, as we learn, are divided in 2 courts, the Light and the Dark. But our heroine grew up in the human world apart from the Fae and is not interested in their political games. So Bo struggles to balance both worlds while learning to control her inner urges which can be quite fatal for human beings. Along the way she gets help from her sidekick Kenzi (Ksenia Solo) and a cop, Dyson (Kris Holden-Reid), who is also Fae.
Furthermore there is some interesting development between Bo and the human doctor of the Lights Lauren which will lead to a love triangle between Bo, Dyson and Lauren.
