I have found a nifty thing which may well only be of interest to a select group of people. Meaning, Max will think this is really cool.
It's called Problem Sleuth. It's a webcomic, but it's also a text-based adventure with pictures.
See, it starts out as a typical detective-type interactive fiction game, but rather than entering text commands directly, the author invites all people who read it to make suggestions as to what the character should do. He selects an answer everyday. The results are bizarre, and, for some one like me who has played way too many IF games, hilarious.
So here's why Max would like it: The author claims that he had fairly little vision of the overall world and characters, etc, or the puzzles involved. Everything that happens, especially when the comic first began, was developed by reader input. The world itself solidified and developed its own rules as the comic went on. A'la One over Zero.
I find it to be a fascinating experiment, and pretty funny too. But then, I'm the sort of person who loves work that crosses different media. It's also a pretty good parody of IF games.
