Hey there future-self!
This is you from 2009. It's been a weird year full of drama and different types of opportunities. At the beginning of it you were happily going out with Jay who'd just lost his job. But everything was going ok. Though you did miss an opportunity to work full time as a receptionist at a truck delivery place, but you were happy in love. As time went on the relationship got strained over loss of friendships and different feelings. Finally in August, just before 11 months together, it all fell apart.
But now it's time to move on from that. You have an opportunity to become friends with Jay again, which would be nice.
In June of 2009 you finally left BJ's wholesale club after 5 years of service. You moved on as a part-time teller at HSBC which is going pretty well. Boring but well. Though in November you had to get another job since your student loans started coming in. Gamestop is fun, but doesn't pay well and retail sucks. Hope you got a new job. Something sorta artsy. Though you have been taking a few art jobs by the end of '09. Simple website stuff.
Some friendships fell apart. Lots of miscommunications and tears but in the end it's gonna make you stronger, though it did reaffirm your deep seated belief of not having friends. You miss them lots, the laughs and creative process but in the end it just became a clusterfuck of sorts. You re-found your friends with Stevie and Pat Though and found a friend in Ben, that cute anime-dealer you kept running into at cons. And Ray has become your best friend. It's been a crazy year with people.

Future self, sometimes it's best to just not give a shit. Keep your mouth shut and just be there to support.
