consumer whore
second day of school!
game culture class! and it's cool! it's about the culture of gaming more than the history of it which is really awesome! discussions about it's impact on our generation and such. the teacher is sorta laid back and understands that one of the books prolly won't interest us and is expensive so she's not making us buy that one, plus the other one sounds more interesting. cooler thing is visiting websites and blogs is part of our assignments. i'm excited!
still rather disappointed in my anime wonderland class. it's sorta like a literature class. like you're excited to read a book, or you would be ready to read the book, but the fact that you have to break it apart and look it critically makes it suck. ya know? plus the tezuka mangas he wants us to get is about $15+. i like manga and all but i don't usually pay that much for them. ugh. i'm gonna have to buy them at barnes and nobles with my credit card and pass it off as a text book or else i'll be paying $50+ for them. lol. i know most of you are going "pfft, shut up bb. ONE of my books is $200!" and to that i respond with a loud evil laugh.
i went to dinner then to borders and henley's with joe. was fun going as friends and wasn't too weird i don't thinks. i got loners and dynamo 5. and we discovered that it'll be sorta hard to get the books we're looking for. so barnes and nobles time!
tomorrow is portfolio. i'm a bit nervous about it. like...this is my 'show your artwork' class. i feel better about showing my stuff though which is good. better late than never though, right? so woo. mayerson again and let's see how it all goes.
and as far as the consumer whore thing goes.
apple has a new line of ipods. =__= they're fucking amazing.
the ipodtouch is the iphone without the phone.
the ipodclassic is a BIGGER update ont he video. instead of a measly 30gb the lowest you can get is 80gb! the battery life for audio only is 40 HOURS! ho shit! it's only $250.
the nano has a bigger screen and can now play movies and it's still $150.
it's amazing. drool with me! they're amazing and i want one for xmas.
