As far as this art thing goes, first off, I'm sorry for not commenting. I almost feel like I don't deserve to post a comment on your stuff cuz I'm not as skilled as you artistically. Remember I'm the one whose going to need YOUR help when I take the drawing class. But I'll go back and post as soon as I can. Second, if you're getting so much positive feedback on your new style, but you don't like it, modify it till you do like it. It won't be the same as what everyone likes, but who said the artist had to conform to everyone else's likes? You think Picasso thought everyone would like the fucked up looking shit he did? Fuck no! But now he's one of the most famous artists of all time. You have to stop looking for so much approval from other people. Just find it in yourself first, then ask other people what they think. And if the people you ask don't like it, fuck em. What do they know? It's not like they're the only ones that have opinions. There's bound to be someone who'll like it.
Now as far as this girly girl sexy thing goes, I can understand that perfectly. I want the same thing. But if you don't think that it matches your personality or will be do stressful to change into that kind of person, then don't do it. You don't have to be a girly girl to be sexy anyway. There's a type out there for everyone, a type that everyone feels is sexy. And every type is sexy in their own. Some guys out there find that a girl who knows her video games and can even kick their asses at it is very sexy. Example, that's how Ray is. So don't get sucked into what the media finds as sexy, or what Cosmopolitan thinks is sexy. The definition of sexy is longer than most people think...
And feel good that you at least have the cojones to talk to your mom about this kind of stuff. Even though you say that there is something to be desired in her advice, at least you are comfortable with her enough to talk to her about your problems. I can't. I just can't. I let everything boil inside of me. Even though I need to talk to my mom about stuff, I keep it inside. Why do you think I get burnt out over certain things so quickly? Because I don't speak about it. Especially the stuff I need to talk about with my mom. If her advice isn't what you wanted it to be, then she probably just isn't the type of person that can really give advice that helps, which is why she repeated our advice. Don't be angry at her, just find another person, that's all. And think about it, if you're not used to opening up to her, then she's probably not used to you opening up to her. She's on the other side of the same boat you're on.
And for the last god damned time YOU'RE NOT FAT! If I could be the size you are, I'd be the happiest person in the god damned world. And if you're trying to work it off and it doesn't go away, do you know what causes that? Stress, mother fucker. Stress. And if you're so worried about the way you look as far as weight, then do something constructive about it. Work out, eat healthier. (Notice, I'm not saying eat everything or nothing, just take out a few unhealthy things and replace them with healthy ones).
