Classes end...and others begin

One paper down - two more to go...and a presentation Monday. It's a survey-level lecture to a group of my peers on West African responses to Imperialism in the 19th Century. I was warned about beginning my grad courses during a summer semester, but I really had no choice. Not if I want to finish with my master's degree in the next two years.

On top of being driven batty by school, I have also been coaching JV volleyball everyday for three hours. Looks like we'll have a good team this year, even if it is big. This Friday I've scheduled a "JV Social" instead of practice, so wish me luck out for a whole night with a bunch of high school girls watching the Dukes of Hazzard!

It's hard to believe that Matt and I move in just three days! Granted, he'll be doing most of the moving since I have teacher planning starting Wednesday. And he's not even complaining:)

Shout out to Kat for placing well in her horsie show this weekend!!! Yeehaw!

And...I think I'm off to pretend to sleep. I've been having a bout of sleeplessness for the past few weeks, and I've tried everything (including no caffiene after 7, meditation, yoga, and counting sleeping sheep), but I just can't seem to get to sleep before the early morning hours. Too much on my mind, maybe? I've even been taking sleep aids at night this past week...but they don't put me to sleep...they just make me too tired to read or do anything productive! Any suggestions out there for how to train myself into getting to bed at a decent hour again?? Night all.
