50 lbs lighter...

Top 10 ways my Quality of Life has Improved Since Losing 50lbs:

10. I can fit back into my size 12 jeans!!!!!! My wardrobe has grown immensely since being able
to pull out cute college outfits I haven't worn in 5 years. I can't wait to go shopping this spring!

9. I have noticably more confidence in myself. I can look at my wedding pictures and see how far I've come, instead of cringing. I speak up more - I hold my head higher. I don't cross
my arms in front of my stomach anymore to hide my fluff for pictures. I don't wear
sweaters to hide my figure.

8. I am free!! I am not constantly dwelling on my weight and making myself feel guilty for not
doing something about it.

7. I feel sexier! (Maybe this belongs with #9)Losing weight didn't really change Matt's
perception of me, but it changed MY perception of me. And that's all it took.

6. My hips and back don't ache all the time anymore! Although the fractures have healed,
carrying an extra 50lbs was putting major strain on my body.

5. I sleep better! (see #6 and #8)

4. I have more energy. I am constantly going jogging, cleaning the house, working on hobbies...things I was always too tired to do before.

3. I don't feel like food is a controlling factor in my life anymore. I still love to eat, but
I've learned that it's okay not to finish. And I've also learned that making better food choices will make me feel better AFTER dinner.

2. I feel like I've finally put the car accident behind me - physically and mentally.

1. I feel ACCOMPLISHED. I've never succeeded at losing weight before in my life. I'm really
proud of myself:)

July 7th, 2007: 221 lbs
April 7th, 2008: 171 lbs
Goal: 160 lbs by June 1st, 2008

I still have about 10 lbs to go to reach my goal. I'm hoping that by posting again while I finish my journey I'll keep at it until I get there.

Here's to 50 lbs gone forever! :)
