What do you judge the passage of time by?

This is the first time I've posted an entry online since I lived in Italy. There was always something new and exciting to write about - I felt like I would burst if I didn't get it out in some sort of medium. I guess I stopped writing because I felt that every-day happenings couldn't compare. But there's something beautiful about the commonplace
