A complete failure to read

My boss returned to the store this week, after nearly 7 months on a special detail, and what insane thing to I manage to pull?  I completely misread my own schedule and forgot to come in for the Knack (formerly Kids Club)!  In the entire time I have worked there, I have never missed a class.  Leo and Denise teased me about it, but I was so upset with myself.  Great way to remind your boss what a great worker you are. And it didn't help matters that my Teacher Event that I was really looking forward to was nothing but a bust.  Not exactly my fault, but problematic just the same.  I hate feeling and being irresponsible.

The rest of the weekend was fine.  My doc appointment went well on Friday.  Blood pressure is now a nice level, and it looks like I won't have to go on more drugs or have more tests run since I am responding to the medication.  Matt took me to the zoo that afternoon to celebrate, and I was finally able to see the tigers play in the water, and that just made my week!   I know, it really doesn't take that much to make me happy.  I was just bummed that I didn't have my camera with me since it was a spur of the moment trip.

I managed to make my way through some more Lost, so hopefully we will be done with the second season soon.

I also managed to see Dark Knight twice this week, once at midnight on Thursday, and once on the IMAX at Easton with some ex-theatre friends who were in town.  It was great to get some time to spend with Kate, Bob, Smith, and Fox.  I just don't get to see that group so much anymore since they have all moved away.  Well, except Fox, who just changed jobs.

I have been debating on writing a review for the movie, but I might wait until more people have seen it, since it would less of a review and more about my feelings on the film.  I will say this much.  It's a great film,  a great summer movie and crime drama wrapped into one.  But it is not my favorite comic book adaption movie.  Understand though, that this was the only movie this year that I knew I would be more critical about then most people.  But more to come about that later.
