...or hello people as the normal folk say. Been a while as usual. It's been brought to my attention again this morning that life is far too short and we should in fact sieze the day while we can. Tomorrow could totally kick your ass, or quite possibly not exist at all. I feel like I've been seeing a lot of signs recently, and then this morning I had an email that rocked my world in a totally devastating way. A very good friend of mine passed away on the weekend, and she was only 25. She was here in my livingroom having tea a month ago. I can't believe it. She lived in Oxford. We had plans to catch up again when she was here next January. We'd talked about her starting dance classes and she was talking about a new job. She was such a sweet person. Through her I learnt to be far more tolerant than I ever thought I could be, and I think she made me much more compassionate as well. It's odd how some people can cause such an impact on your life. She'll be sorely missed.
My current state in a nutshell: I'm still in Umeå. It's still full of extremely moral and naive people. I've started a course in Transport Management & Logistics - it's all in Swedish. I handed in my first assignment last week in business economics, and was told that my report was by far the best in the class. I'm pretty chuffed with that. The school is 35km from here and I carpool with some nice lads. My darling baby cat had his first birthday last week. Christer's still working on his degree. My car's still running (although possibly not for long). I wish I was back living in England, and actually doing stuff.
