art + craft

Last night was the last regular session of the photography class I've been taking.  That meant our term project, a portfolio of ten images, was due by the end of class.  During last week's class, the instructor showed us how to cut mat boards for our photos if we wanted to present them in a photo box.  Dealing with the mats looked like it would be a pain, but the boxed photos looked so nice that I decided to do it anyway.

Yes, it was a pain.  It did satisfy my need for a craft project, though.  I won't be needing to play with precision cutting instruments and archival tape again for a while.  I'm rather proud of how it turned out, and I can't wait to get it back from my instructor next week after the final exam.

If you'd like to see the images in the portfolio, you can see them at my SmugMug site.
