yesterday...

got my grad pics. i had the biggest print framed, so the child's play lady had to put the package in this really big plastic bag. it was kinda embarrasing hauling this huge plastic bag around school...parang super eager beaver to graduate.

i like my grad pics = )

anyhoo, only spent a half-day at school, instead of the usual 730-500 schedule.

why? because my sister and i had to spend our whole afternoon and evening in manila.

ultra culture shock in manila. super traffic. super daming tao. super not-so-clean streets. super office lady rummaging for her lost receipt in the ATM trash can. i can't believe i'll be studying there next year. anyhoo, we didn't go there just for fun. we had to run a whole bunch of errands...

passed my application form at UP manila. i really hope i pass there. mom and dad say it's the best med school. it's really far from katipunan, though, like two hours with traffic. and i still don't know how i'm gonna adjust from katipunan to manila...

watched bridget jones: the edge of reason with my sister. guess where? robinsons place manila. yeah, there are a lot of shops and all, but it's not...friendly. and the cinemas? don't ask.

i think i'll miss gale, which has been my weekend home for the past three and a half years. and eastwood, whose cinemas and coffee shops have been just heaven after two weeks of guidon editing and press.

do not read this section azny further if you plan to watch the movie. skip na lang to the next section.

anyhoo, the movie was okay. didn't outdo the first, but it had some pretty decent laugh lines. colin firth's still really sweet. hugh grant, at 40+, is still soO cute, that even if he's such a jerk in the movie, i still feel sorry that he doesn't end up with anybody.

attended my sister's school's parent-teacher thingy at century park hotel. parents not here so mom orders older sister to parent younger sister. woohoo.

but surprisingly, the parent-teacher thingy didn't turn out so bad. mmm...free food.

from her lj:

Lastnight, gwenniiee  and I went to Century Park Hotel in Vito Cruz, Manila for a school assembly. Parents and their children gathered with the professors... We talked about the intrigue and problem between MegaWorld and Thames International. Anyway, tibs plans to move to Petron Plaza, Buendia, Makati!! That is so bloody far!

Anyway, the good stuff muna. First off, I saw the Irish dude... Like he was so clean shaven and maayos buhok niya... Muwahaha... I talked to the guy... Gwen asked if that was him... I said yeah... Then she said she thought I was exaggerating. But noooooooo... How could I?!?! It's like her saying "Maganda ang Surviving Christmas... Yan nalang panoorin natin... Boring ang National Treasure" Haha!!

i will not gush about cute irish dude on lj.

got home to qc at around one in the morning. checked mail, took a bath, went to bed.
