Superstition
Is there anyone who is superstitious? Well, I realized, sort of with out knowing, that I am superstitious. It isn't like I think that something might really happen if I step on a crack or don't knock on wood, but I take precations any way. Why do I do this??? I have no idea. For a very long time now I have always had to have wood around me incase I jinx myself. I even had a friend buy me a piece of wood for my car for my birthday. I call it my "knock on wood,egg." I leave it in my cupholder. I also avoid stepping on cracks whenever I can. If there are too many cracks to avoid, I place my feet on the squares in a pattern. I really think I have to be one of the weirdest people I know. The funny thing is, though, I have gotten my mom and other people to get a piece of wood for their car. I don't think I have gotten any followers on the walking one, but hey if you want to watch me walk sometime, I bet you will be thoroughly amused.
Some superstitions I don't bother with are: walking under latters, braking mirrors, waking someone with water, etc. The only two I really do are the ones in the previous paragraph.
