I've been sitting on a small packet of brand new bamboo Victrola needles for like, three months now, and finally had the guts to try one out on the shittiest 78 I have in my collection.
BEST. CREATION. EVER.
Not only do you get more plays per needle, the sound is softer and a bit richer. Only downfall is you need to tweak the regulator a bit, because there is a little big of a drag.
And a big ol' herp-derp to me...I thought this was some new technology for old technology. I learned today bamboo needles were patented in oh...1907.
