Adorable interview with Katie and Angel at the Expo - I think between the Q&A and the signing. The question Angel mentions being asked is the one I asked her. ^_^
I have to say I'm glad that Katie and Angel seem to be genuinely pushing for more screen time to develop Gwen and Morgana's relationship - even if it's saddening that this want seems to be being largely dismissed by the producers right now. (All joking aside - 'mud wrestling'? ...that's a tad patronising, really. I get that he's joking but... why CAN'T Gwen and Morgana get in on the action with the swords every once in a while? I suppose the sentiment annoys me because it's indicative of a slightly larger problem with the show's treatment of its female leads, which is that they are primarily there to be wheeled out at convenient moments to entertain and tittilate the audience - they're not there to drive the stories in their own right, in the way that Merlin and Arthur are. And that's... sad. I mean, little girls are watching this show too - what message are we sending here when the men are automatically given so much more of a priority than the women?)
