My new pug/boston terrier mix, Hanhya (Pronounced Hannah), is recovering from Mange and yesterday after I took her back to the clinic for her two week post-adoption follow up, everyone on staff was very excited to see her back and in such great health with much better disposition. I guess I didn't notice how happy she truly is to not be in that crazy death-filled place anymore.
I asked the attendant why he was almost crying when he first saw her yesterday; "She had been here for almost four months. She was scheduled to be put down at 3pm that day you saw her. You adopted her at 2pm"
he choked out.
Wow, I really DID save a sweet puppy's life. How fucking awesome <3!
As soon as I become a rich and famous journalist/singer/reality tv person, I am going to establish the foundation that I have always wanted: 6 national centers established with at least 10 acres of land for the animals to play on and run around. I want to have a small house for 1-3 people to live in and tend to the animals that are rescued. The workers would go into the local kill-shelters and adopt all the animals that are up for adoption that would soon be put down and bring them back to my lovin ranch. That would probably even be the name...Lovin Ranch; I like it.
