Observation/perspective in comedy
Now I am no professional comic, but I find it rather odd and obtrusive to one's stand up routine if they finish their act by singing "Walking in Memphis" as seriously as they possibly can- am I alone on this one? I think not- the other employees and I were standing in the back asking "What the fuck?!" to each other while no one was able to provide an answer. The most ironic part? After he was done, four people out of a small crowd of about 65 or so, stood up and gave him a STANDING ovation?!
I really should start writing my own stand up and just sing when all else fails; why not, all eyes are on me anyway?
