This perked my interests: "Please don't believe the hell myth. It is a terrible fiction created by the church that has been attributed to Yeshua. In the myth, Yeshua is portrayed as a tyrant who requires that people swear allegiance to him or he will lock them into a place of unrelenting, agonizing torment for eternity. That is not the Yeshua who speaks of love, compassion, judging not, and forgiving in the New Testament. Yeshua doesn't mention such a place and certainly never threatened anyone if they chose not to grow spiritually by following his teaching. There is no word for such a place in Aramaic, Greek, or Hebrew. It just didn't exist." ~
http://30ce.com/jesusonhell.htm I'm just curious. It doesn't matter what religion you are/aren't, but I want people's opinions on the afterlife. Mostly, do you think there's life on the other side? Do you think those that commit suicide go to Hell? What is their fate?
I mean. I seriously doubt that people who commit suicide would be damned forever in Hell. Because of how many religions there are, and I'm pretty sure Christianity is relatively new compared to other religions (Greek, Roman, etc.) I could be wrong, but I'm gonna research this and any input would be much obliged. But I'm just thinking of all the samurai that would commit seppku, kamikazes, those that have killed themselves for the sake of their country to not give out any information, for their family. To end their own misery.
I'm really curious about this. Because it would suck that suicide stars, as Alice Cooper sings, would be forever stuck in that. And people with life/death experiences where they've been legally dead always have different stories to tell/say.
I'm gonna post this to several communities that I'm part of and would greatly appreciate any insight(s). If you want to fill me in a little of your religion (or personal belief if you're not religious/spiritual/agnostic, etc) that "backs up" your belief/theory, please include that. I've always been interested in theology and would love to learn anything more I can.
If this isn't clear, just comment and I'll try to clear this up.
