Oh happy day!
K, first thought--what is this new posting layout?? O.o LJ-like?? Eh?
Alright, so my tattoo has been great. It started peeling a couple of days ago, and it was really weird. I'm glad someone told me to expect the skin to peel and have color on it (A 'duh' if you think about it, but still) because it was weird. I was nervous because constantly putting the salve on was keeping it moist, and it was starting to look like crap, and it didn't look like peeling until I spent extra time cleaning it carefully. Then little colored bits were coming off, and the part that was looking like crap looked better and I realized it was just peeling.
Now, a fair bit of it has peeled--mostly the large piece, and only one small heart--and it's a large difference. The large purple heart has all peeled--and it's smoothe to the skin now, as is the one red heart whereas everything else is still raised as if slightly swollen still. Now it makes sense in my head how the tattoo goes from the bumpiness it was to smoothe to skin.
Itching hasn't been an issue except for the one or two days it was a minor thing.
Someone came by and I showed them today, and they were so excited! Then I showed someone else and before I had time to react she reached out and rubed her finger across it. I jumped, it hurt a bit and I exaggerated it and she looked all panicked. "Is that real??" She had thought it was a typical kids stick on tattoo when I'd said it was peeling. lol
I'm completely thrilled by it. I had a dream the other night that I woke up and it was all faded mostly back to skin color and I had to scrub my leg like crazy to try to get it back. I woke up in a panic and had to check the tattoo. I figure that was a good sign that I'm happy with it being permanent. Cause if I'm not--too late! haha
Lots of crap going on with the Apartment. Was supposed to be able to move in August 15th (Monday) but I went in and no. No way. I took a bunch of pictures, wrote a polite yet upset letter to the Management company saying how I was concerned that the condition of the suite was considered--by somebody--as complete. Sent the pictures. Finally have door handles on my cabinets (IKR??) and a few other things. There are other things not done, but the Painter is having a mental break down, literally, and I'd rather do thefinishing touches myself than risk her going nuts and ruining it. I shouldn't have to, but I have no time to wait for them to do it before Vancon and I need to be moved before then.
It looks so pretty~ though! I'm so excited!! ^_^ I officially started moving tonight. I moved my Bamboo plant over. xD Heehee.
Tomorrow it will get the final scrub down and I'll start moving other things that are immediately needed, and Saturday morning the movers are coming. They'll only be needed an hour (their minimum) and it's right next door, so all will be fine.
I am looking forward to being able to sit and go through things. Get rid of things.

As for Reel Pride, we had a meeting last night, and things are going well. We're actually in a position where we have too many films for consideration, which is a good spot to be in. We have ten slots to fill, and about thirteen or fourteen films we're seriously considering. One that I am in love with (and I wish I'd tried to rip it) is Leave It On The Floor. Great. If you can find it, get it. I'm not even sure how to describe it lol. Had a volunteer drop out because juggling his kid and the festival and his hubby's involvement with the festival was going to be impossible. Next year, he says. I laugh, 'cause there is only a next year if I do it.
Oh...and I have to chair the next meeting. Which is Wednesday. Right before I leave for VanCon. Think I'll be coherent? Nope, me either. "Everyone's here? Alright! We all feel good like Jensen in that shirt omg... Sorry, where was I? Right, film selections. House of Wax---nono...crap. Meeting adjourned!!"
Well, swimming day at the job tomorrow, so I must go get myself slept up.
