Things are better
Again, short because I need to get to bed (Comedy show was amazing btw), but I wanted to thank those of you who put up with my annoying rant and offered insight. I was tired, upset and needed to vent.
The hearing about the whole renovation process was today. I was at work, but Eve and Al went.
Basically, I think I'm staying here. My rent price will not go up (more than the usual yearly increase) until the entire building is complete, which will be a year at least. Yay!
When I get my notice, I can call the building manager company, and say "I want to keep my apartment, I'd prefer to stay with the building" and they will do their best to move me into another unfinished apartment for the two months (ish) it will take to do mine, then (providing I get approved again) I can move back into my brand new suite, paying the same rent until everything is complete. Which will basically be August 2012, ish. Or later. Which is about when my upcoming lease would be up, so at that point I can decide (with less pressure) if I want to leave or not.
I'm still unhappy about needing to drop the bang, and I'm not sure why it stresses me out so much. But I'm trying to tell myself that this way, I can focus on decluttering and packing so when the Reverse Bang comes around, I can focus on that and get it done!
