I had such a good time yesterday with a surprise package that came in the mail!
It was an intriguing box, about the size of a shoebox only square-ish. It rattled when I shook it - not books. It was sent by airmail from Switzerland and had all sorts of foreign markings on it. It had no indication who it was from, though, that I could recognize.
It's my birthday (sort of) so it wasn't out of the question that someone could have been sending me a gift, but I had no idea who or what - we don't actually celebrate my birthday for a variety of reasons and I don't actually disclose when it is for privacy reasons (and I'm fudging now, too) so it would be REALLY unusual for someone to send me a gift. But, there it was.
Tearing it open and discovering what was inside was so much fun. It turned out to be something I very much wanted. Wanted so much that, back in August, I'd gone looking for it on the internet. And ordered it. Myself. LOL.
Thanks, Past Dally, it was just what I wanted! (It's a
cool retractable clothesline for the island cottage.)
