"Condemned" means no services

Nov 12, 2012 08:56

I'm hearing people bitch about FEMA pulling out of an area that was condemned and that power still isn't back on to the houses that were condemned.

I'm sad that their house was condemned, and I know they don't want to grok the entire implications yet, but get a clue, people.  The reason services are not being provided is because you are supposed to MOVE.

Now, if what you're TRYING to say is that you need help moving, well, yeah.  That makes sense.  But saying you need to stay in your house to prevent looting does NOT make sense.  FEMA and the Red Cross are not supposed to be providing protection for personal property.

You've been triaged and you've got a black tag.  Cry about that, that makes sense.  It's awful.  But don't bitch about FEMA abandoning you "because the election is over."  Fucking twit.
