Things to do today:

1.) Write down your odometer readings on all your vehicles.  You don't know what 2011 brings, but if you end up wanting to deduct mileage you are going to need beginning and ending odometer readings on your cars.

Update your W4s if your job has changed or number of dependents (either up or down) or marital status. I'd be more upset about a $6K tax refund if we could actually potentially earn interest on the money but it's preferable to find more balance. I'd hate getting clients who had divorced the year before but never changed their withholdings and discovered they owed $1400 in taxes.

Is your insurance (house/contents/car/life) adequate?

If your resolution is to save more money, it's a great day to set up an auto-transfer to another bank account/IRA/whatever.
