long post! oops
so i didn't have to break my dinner and a movie thing with ian. i was so happy. we went to eat and saw collatteral, which was awesome by the way. tom cruise was amazing in that movie.
3 weeks from now cleveland will be one amazing band poorer. :(
we got to talking about why leo is moving, and it seems to be a good decision on their part. ian said that st.louis is starving for rock music right now, and every good band there is getting signed, because the city is so enthusiastic about the music. unlike cleveland... the only bands that draw huge crowds here are metal bands. theres so many metal heads here, when you think about it. lame.
oh yeah and the new drummer already flaked out and quit. he had a yoko ono type wife anyway. so stephan is going to maybe play on saturday! but they'll have to grovel for that to happen. leo has some kind of cloud over them. i hope they make a good name for themselves in STL. (even though one time i told sarah "i hope they fail and comeback!" meh heh heh )
and tonight, was amazing. 2 bands that i love had shows in the cove and peabodys. i was a happy girl. the only problem was that they went on around the same time. i watched a beautiful band who reminded me of house of heroes, their name is Those Who Wait. <333. uhh then i got to see some of this is exploding before the vacancies showed their videos on the wide screen. i wish i saw more of TIE because their energy was aaawesome tonight.
anyway it was the vacancies video release. i was wondering how they were going to release a video? but they put a screen up on the stage and projected the videos on it. one was digital and it had them being comix book heroes, very funny and cute. the other video was just really punk rock. so hm they played a bunch of new shit and they gave me a cd because i lost mine. they told me that i make them feel really good because i always come out to shows. no new stuff on cd, but i was promised a burned copy of some new demos at the next show. michael told me that whenever they see me they all start getting each other and saying "theres that girl!" welp im proud to be that girl! i <3 them. theyre the nicest people ever.
i am so exhausted right now. i am really looking forward to my bed. goodnight :)
