Sydney weekend of doom

Mar 05, 2007 01:57

Most of what I had to say has already been written quite well by illdrinn...

Further to that though...

We got to Ascension last night and within the first 10 minutes, I felt at home... there were more people I knew in that club than when I went to Faith last weekend, and it wasn't even my home town - I've never been clubbing in Sydney before!

Walking around, I was randomly greeted with "Hey, aren't you Gwen? I chat to you on irc!" by the awesome Slaad. A whole lot of chatting, playful jibs and entertaining situations followed...

The drinks kept flowing and I genuinely had a whole lot of fun. The music was different, it wasn't that terrible it was just a nice change from the same old same old faith playlist. There were a few people checking me out, and even some interest there by the sounds of it. Talk about ego boost!

I feel a whole lot better about myself being here, it was exactly what I needed.

Two days left, then I have to head back home...

Though I suspect I will be back sooner than anticipated.
