Assorted geekery
So not much has happened of late...
I've been out drinking a bit with friends and workmates.. it's good to reconnect with people I don't see every day :)
Friday I was at work drinks for two hours after I finished, drinking all the lovely premix smirnoff blacks and discussing the philosophy behind old goth, newish goth and emo, I think I said anyone who claims to be on the goth scene since only 2002 is actually an emo... *snicker* Also talked a lot of music stuffs. Was good to have different people to chat too also :)
After which I ventured to town and had more drinks with Darian, Kerry, Fi, Bede and various other people who escape my memory at this point. Still, different people to hang with ftw :D
Ended up piking on missions for dancing which suited both Shelley and I just fine, as she was going to pike too ;)
Saturday was a mess of working at EB, sleep and chats... I think I was in bed by half past midnight!
Sunday was much the same... slept in a lot, then sat online for a while before venturing back into WoW for a few hours... it's been a while! Somewhere in the last 3-4 months of updating I did, my machine decided that all the audio drivers and webcam drivers will no longer work, and that's where I started to worry.
I couldnt watch my new Dr Who! So a bit of fiddling, and I've rebooted my machine into "Last known working configuration" which seems to be working enough to make music and sound work. Still, this will seriously need looking at.
Today I came in for a horrid 7am start half an hour late, due to sleeping in :/ I have, however, learnt how to activate and use a Blackberry, which I will be taking home to play with later today :D Geek toys ftw ;)
Ahh well, lunch is over so back to it I guess.. it's tough being in tech support after being in domain for a long month... I sometimes wish I could be in domain forever... I think I've got the fever!
