Torchwood Charity Effort

Apr 06, 2009 22:14

There are worthy causes which need our help, so the Torchwood team thought we'd do something to give a bit back to the community (besides saving Cardiff from alien attacks which we already do. Constantly.)

Poll TORCHWOOD charity driveThere was a talent show planned, but I'm not sure what we'd do. Sing?  Dance?  Something else you can come up with to entertain you?  Suggestions ( Read more... )

we care a lot, don't make us do anything embarrassing

By "keep Jack calm" I assume you mean "keep Jack fed"?

Why do we give our freaks board games!? We just give out the board, right, not the pieces? Is there a cage over the board, like with the television?

When Ianto thought Theresa chewed up our monopoly pieces it was Jonah Bevin all along, wasn't it? I knew he was innocent!

Jonah screams too much to eat. He has a lot of nutrient shakes (the kind they whip up for geriatric wards).

The residents get game pieces as long as they are either too big to ingest or unappealing flavours. But it's difficult to tell what's unappealing. They eat curtains, Jack. Curtains.

The freaks inmates residents deserve some sort of diversion besides watching Car Booty and Ready, Steady, Cook 24/7.

Yes. Fed. With food.

Ianto is in charge of the "other" things which keep you calm.

(Not so calm that you fail to keep Cardiff safe, mind.)

I don't know about you, but I think we could use a Board Games fund. They keep eating the playing pieces.

Maybe we just need to buy oversized playing pieces...

Forgot to add -- your posts still aren't showing up on my list, Gwen. I'm blaming temporal faults (Rift, et al). Want me to link you from mine?

That would be fantastic, thanks. :)

Reciprocal links. Isn't that sort of like you bringing me this outstanding cup of coffee... and me bringing in SURPRISE FAIRY CAKES?

Call me obsessed, but these are stellar.

Note: The bakery only had four chocolate ones left, Jack.

Surprise fairy cakes are the highlight of my Tuesday mornings, chick. I will even graciously leave the chocolate for someone else --

Oooh, did you get the kind with jam in the middle?

Raspberry. Spun sugar on top. (I passed up the variety with fairy figurines because. Jack. Freaks out.)

Do you have any talents for a possible talent show, I?

That's most certainly what it is! (Or at least what it should be)

Don't let HART hear that.

I beg of you.

Or the begging round here will never end (as if he doesn't beg anyway).

Fairy cakes = cupcakes? The bakery off the Plass does fancy ones. Jack loves them as long as there aren't happy faces on top; it brings on some sort of flashbacks/PTSD.

Are the Mars Bars deep fried? I was just wondering since I've heard he can do a mean impression of Torchwood Two.

gwen_e_cooper April 7 2009, 14:54:32 UTC
We could try that.

Alex Hopkins was insane, though. Plus, he ruined Jack's New Year's that one time with the whole "murder suicide surprise thing".

Oops, cultural breakdown, "mean" not as in cruel but dead-on, accurate, or in some cases excellent. e.g. "He plays a mean saxophone."

And Torchwood Two, you know the funny little man in Scotland? Hence the deep-fried Mars bar reference.

Gotcha. (Jack noms a mean Mars Bar. Does that work?)

Tartan Archie was totally funny!

If I was able to, I would've voted for the Wii and the sweets for Jack because I'm sure a not cranky Jack makes your lives infinitely easier. Well, maybe not Ianto but still...

Ianto is always better off when Jack is not cranky.

(Though he can disarm him in more than one way.)

Thank you. I secretly want the Wii even though there are better causes out there.

THANK YOU for thinking of Torchwood.

Cardiff needs Torchwood far more than it needs ambulances. Has an ambulance ever contained and disposed of a deadly alien sex gas? NO!

We don't have a medic anymore, Jack.

Some of us are actually in mortal danger when we're in mortal danger.
