No to www!
Man, guys. Do any of you type out "www." in front of a URL when you go to the site? 'Cos you really shouldn't! It's a waste of time and makes the URL longer than necessary. I just went through my sites adding a mod_rewrite or whatever so that anybody who tries going to www.slimemansion.com or whatever has the URL secretly switch on them to slimemansion.com. The URL's long enough as it is; no need for an additional "www." to make things more complicated!
(LiveJournal is pretty lame to have their URL automatically redirect from non-www to with-www?? What the hay!)
Does anybody know why "www" was established in the first place? I know at one point sites used to be retarded and wouldn't let you go to it if you didn't have the www on there, but I mean, geez! What's the point??
