Still haven't received a letter from Sheridan ^^;. HOWEVER, I've started to take matters into my own hands, and I've been harassing them over the phone for the past 2 weeks. Here's a rundown of my phone corespondence so far:
First call: I'm told that verything in my file looks complete and dandy and I should be receiving a decision letter by next Wednesday, May 5th. If not, please call back on the 5th.
No letter received by Wednesday, of course.
Second call: After a very unsatisfying conversation with a somewhat incompetent agent, I ask to get transfered to the admission office. Still, I'm told that everything looks fine in my file... *Gwee insists*... WELL well, apparently my english requirements information (which I included in my original file, mind you) wasn't transfered to them for some obscure reason, and I need to fax it over. *THANKS FOR INFORMING ME THAT SOON, SHERIDUNG* So I decide to include a recommendation letter from my english teacher along, just for good luck. The lady at the office then assures me that she'll call me back on Friday to give me an answer. Yay!
No call back from the lady on Friday. x_x;
Third call: Today! The aforementioned lady I spoke to last Wednesday, and who should have my faxed information, ins't there until Wednesday x_x;. And of course, no one else can help me. THANK YOU SHERIDANG
The main problem here, aside from annoyance, is that application for residence on campus has a limit date of May 15, which means REAL SOON. The lady better dang well have a clear answer for me when I call back in two days, or I'll have to go there personnaly and make them see my point... figuratively speaking of course ^^;.
Thankfuly the student ressources at my current college aren't as incoherent, and I went to see my student adviser today. She's super cool and assured me that Sheridan wouldn't get away with that kind of crap. I'll go see her again tommorow and we should be able to work out something, hopefuly.
This wouldn't be an awesome start for my stay at Sheridan, but I've heard the horror stories already. I don't expect too much from the college, actualy, I just want to get there and live the experience. I've kinda been rethinking weither I'd be better off going to Calarts instead, but the money factor is a lot more significant over there ^^;. And besides, I guess that ultimately, no matter what school you go to, you're the one who makes your own success or not. I'll just wait and see.
In other news, only a week left of Cegep, and then I'm FREEEE. I can't believe I might never do any maths ever again after that ^^;.
I've also been working with Juno, Kitsy and Isamu lately for X-men coloring gigs under Udon Comics, it's been pretty fun and crazy so far XD;. My hand is slowly recuperating the damage induced from deadline over-work, thankfuly the pay makes up for the pain, somehow XD;;.
Hope you guys are all doing good, can't wait for summer to come ToT!
