This is an excerpt (in content at least) from a sermon, given by a pastor in Peru to my own pastor in a cell group meeting in Bogota.
This is a message, a reply from God for a question asked but not spoken.
And the question is this.
what happened to Lucifer
Lucifer was the arch-angel Cherubim of the kingdom of Heaven. Often called the Angel of worship or the great worship leader of heaven, he could be more accurately described as the guardian angel of GOD. From Revelation you will realise that worship in Heaven is a rather straight forward affair. *bang* Miracle, a movement of God moves into action and the men of the thrones bow in worship, the angels shout HOLY and the heavens resound. The leader of the worship is the angel that stands OVER God and more accurately is the angel that COVERS God and thus protects him. This angel knows the plans of GOD, and he is the ONLY ONE (or two), for he faces inwards towards GOD as he covers him.
The Next question is this.
what did he hear that CHANGED him
The answer is in the book of Genesis, as God is known to talk to himself all of three(?) times in the bible. Non-contenious where two of them, creation the the heavens, angels and Earth. And the pastor said that God told him that it was this LAST thing God said that sparked the rebellion. 'I WILL MAKE MAN RULER OVER ALL CREATION' and well, even to me, that sounds like a crazy thing to say. Through his pride IN HIS PEOPLE, THE ANGELS and moreso his condesendence of the human race and a ruling race. made for some reason IN THE IMAGE OF GOD HIMSELF, Lucifer started conplaining. It was the complaining, the dispeasure and the telltaling that caused him to fall. He fell, and the people that supported him, fell too.
One third of the angels fell.
Human beings, built on Earth with a piece of God to purify heaven above.
Amen.
