Nürburgring 2007

That race was different. 20 minutes before the race started weather forcast was rain in 29 minutes. 28 minutes later we found out that "rain" meant "flood". There really was no other choice than stopping the race. I really had hoped that maybe Jenson'd be allowed to start again with the t-car or something. But obviously that's not an option.
There were some daring desicions during that race: Winkelhock starting with wet tyres payed off. He was on pole at the restart. With a Spyker.
Hamilton changed back way too early but it was great for everyone else - especially Alonso. They knew exactly when changing back really did make sense.
Kovalainen changing on wet tyres at his last pit stop payed off as well even though waiting for the rain to start must have been pretty nerve wracking.

¡Enhorabuena Alonso! That race... Wow! His overtaking Massa was amazing. I'm watching the press conference right now. Massa still looks pissed even though Alonso just apologised for arguing with him right after the race. Anyway, Alonso looks so relieved. He knows that he earned himself this victory.

Hey, Mark, there you are. On the podium. So he is still capable of races and results like that. He even smiled. That's a rare sight. And Alex shaking hands with him after the race was a nice gesture. It was close. Mark almost lost third place in the last corner.

I'd have loved to see Jenson in that race. I wonder what he could have archieved. He can be genius under rainy and chaotic circumstances. Just look at Hungary last year. But there are limits and driving through a lake is one of them. With that aquaplaning he didn't have the slightest chance to keep the car under control. Like everyone else who crashed in that corner. This season just goes wrong. *sighs*

Edit: I completely forgot: New contract for Jenson and Rubens. So much for my dream team Jenson and Ant or Jenson and Christian next season.
Honda might not be capable of building a decent car
but they are the nicest team out there. "Christian doesn't have a contract yet because we don't want to stand in his way in case he finds a team (Spyker) he can race with." They'd even "lend" him to Spyker for the rest of the season. Awwww!
