Since it's been back from the hiatus, this show surely has picked up pace. No more boring, pointless filler episodes, straight road to the big finale. And this episode is no expection even though I have one big issue with it. But more about that later.

I really like your take on this here. I would think it was a bit too easy (and really, shouldn't some of those other Gods have gone out with a blast and some ruckus if they were really dead?) if Lucifer could just kill all those other Gods with his bare hands. This version would also pose options for their return, I suppose.
I agree that we basically know the broad outcome of this season and that they need to get their hands on those two missing rings and all. However, I personally don't care that I know the outcome. I'm interested in seeing the how unfold. And speaking of religions, the way is the goal ;P

I'm sure that I will enjoy the last few episodes despite knowing how it ends. But I still think it was a rather bad move storytelling-wise.
Especially with Lost battling Supernatural for my attention.

I'm worried sick about Castiel. I've read some spoilers which I decidedly did not like and now I'm not so sure I even want SPN to have the sixth season. I'm too used to Castiel being on this show((

My heart broke a little, too. I can't really be mad at Lucifer. He clearly didn't want to kill his brother. He's just too far gone, probably has been for centuries but I still can't see him as just the bad guy. And if Gabriel had to go, I'm glad it happened the way it did.

I can't see him as too bad a guy either))) And well, Gabriel even managed to make his death funnier than it was. The "don't start sobbing!" cracked me up. The whole idea with the DVD did. But I agree about collecting the rings. It just seems kind of... blatant.
