Walking down into the little town from our hut never gets old. There's so much to see: houses of course and gardens, but also an interesting garage (always open), a really shabby B&B and then the view over the water and the hills across from the harbour. Even on a rainy day it looks gorgeous.
I looked for a thistle so hard, but so far there wasn't a photogenic one. But I found a beautiful heather for my macro lense:
We decide to take a boat trip from Portree harbour, to see some wildlife. Only a few passengers are on board: a Danish couple, an American woman and 2 Germans (oh, that's us). Although the captain throws some realy nasty smelling fish, the eagle is lazy or maybe has eaten its fill at the boat trip before us. We're not disappointed at all. We love to be on the water and enjoy the hours.
At night there was a storm and rain but when we left to try our hill again, the weather got better - at least to halfway up the hill. There the mist got thicker and in the end, again almost all the way up, we lost our trail and nearly our orientation. Carefully we found the way back and said good-bye to "The Storr". Maybe another year we'll come back and conquer the mountain.
