Okay, so not that anyone is reading this as of yet, but as promised, here's a snippet of a one-shot I'm toying with. It's a YYH/Inu I've got in the works for Original Sinner, but who knows when it'll actually be finished. At any rate, here's a preview:
He charged her then, only to be forced to maneuver away from the enormous boomerang as it ripped through the air again. His eyes widened marginally, and he was instantly perplexed. He hadn’t anticipated this kind of resistance from the girl; by all outward appearances, she was a prisoner. He could see the futility in her steps, the agony in her every breath in the days he’d spent tracking them. And now he’d liberated her, not that that had anything to do with why he’d slain the foul hanyou, but regardless, the outcome was the same. She should be relieved, ecstatic. She should be grateful. Yet, the moment Hiei had dispatched the sinister creature he’d felt the girl twist into something malevolent and unspeakable. Her aura burned a black fire, and dark malice radiated from her in palpable waves, as she became a roiling, black thundercloud of impending devastation. Had he been wrong?
