[and with that, he turns off the communicator and heads to the tea room. he remembers passing the library while trying to find a bathroom one day...so it takes a little while, but not nearly as long as if he had never passed it.]

[The Medicine Seller is there waiting when Takatsuki arrives, seated seiza on the floor with his box beside him. He bows politely.]

[when takatsuki walks in and sees the medicine seller bow, he returns the favor. his hands are wrapped up haphazardly with some bandages he got from his closet.]

Sit. [Slight gesture to the floor near where he's seated.]

[figuring that he should match up with the level of formality, takatsuki sits seiza as well - as best as he can, anyway. he doesn't say anything, but it's very apparent that he's trying to make sure he doesn't upset his hands.]

[The Medicine Seller is nothing if not observant. His eyes flick to Takatsuki's hands for a moment, then he holds out one of his own hands, palm up, for Takatsuki's hand to rest in.]

[Takatsuki unwraps the bandages and places his hands in The Medicine Seller's. The cuts are clean and it looks like Takatsuki has been taking care of them and washing the wounds daily.]

[He turns Takatsuki's hands over in his own, inspecting them.]

Have you been putting medicine on them?

No, I don't have any...but I washed them.

[The Medicine Seller lets go of Takatsuki's hands. He pulls open a drawer of his box, removing a few oddly-shaped, brightly-ornamented bottles from inside before he seems to find what he's looking for. Setting some of the bottles aside, he opens one of them. The air fills with an almost spicy scent.]

This will sting for a few moments.

After that, you'll feel a cooling sensation.

[Taking one of Takatsuki's hands delicately, he sprinkles powder from inside the jar onto his wounds.]

[Like The Medicine Seller says, it stings and Takatsuki winces a little, but it's over soon enough and the wounds feel better than they did before the powder.]
