mm, well the summer is slowly drawing to a close (everybody let out one big groan *grooooaaan*) so that means that i get to do a little recappy thing.
first off, christa and I are still going strong with no sign of slowing anytime soon (everyone let out one big "Yay" or "Awww") and although it may be tough at first being away from her, look at it this way. I'll be home after three weeks anyway cause I'm taking her to a concert (happy birthday, you'll crap yourself when you find out where the seats are), I'm going to be in contact with her almost daily through facebook, LJ, IM, or actually calling eachother, if you look at the breaks that we have, I'll be home for at least a week for Thanksgiving, a month for xmas (roughly), a couple of weeks for spring break and then summer vacation in may, and I'm 45 mins away so if I really can't stand being away from her one second more I can come home for a weekend. (that thinking has eased some of my nervousness towards college)
ah yes, perfect transition to college...my god, am I really going to college...its weird when you sit back and reflect and go "Holy fucking crap...I really am 18 and going to college aren't I?" I am going to miss a bunch of you still at FHS (seriously, I'd never thought I would ever say that when this time came around) but I'm not going to college alone, Doug, Kim and a couple of others that I know will be going with me so if I really need a FHS fix, I can talk to them. I'd admit, it would really suck going to college without knowing at least 1 person from highschool. Then of course, theres my roommates...notice how i said mates not mate. yes thats right, i'm in a triple. (another collective groan if you will)
expect me to actually keep this updated come sept. 1st and as such, feel free to comment, any news from you guys is always welcome.
now for the ever-popular work section of my journal, yes thats right. work, where i have bitched and plotted my pastor's downfall.
today heralded in my last week of working for fatass!! of all the senior workers, i think i'm the first one to leave before school. my last day of work is sunday, 1-5 and the last time i set up baptisms! friday is my last day working for the groundskeeper, him i'll miss. I'm leaving so soon because i've been working 6 days a week since i graduated, with only two missed days for freshman orientation. I want to spend a week of matt time, or matt and christa time (I'm more than willing to do either). St. Rocco's also helped me alot in terms of jobs. Two people I worked with are in the tech field and both gave me their cards for when i need a job over the summer or whatnot, one of them told me that over the summer i can do either summer internship for experience (no money) or work on the production line (actual work with actual pay) so either can help me next summer. and if i do the internship, if I do really well at it, I may get a job there when I graduate which is a huge plus.
so that is a basic summary of the past and future for me. i hope you enjoyed it as much as i enjoyed giving it to you
good night, and good luck
