I went to the Joslyn art museum this afternoon, since there was no D&D.
It was nifty. I wish I'd had more time to look around. (they close crazy early.)
I wish I could link to the articles about my favorite ones, but it won't seem to let me, so go to their website
www.joslyn.org/collection/ and search for these:
Couch Potato - This was my favorite. It's a jumble of electronics in the shape of a humanoid in an easy chair. the screens are animated and there's a fax machine you can actually send things to! ( (402) 342-0091 ).
Chihuly: inside & out - I've actually seen this one from the outside quite a bit, but being right in front of the thing is something else entirely.
Men working - Can't explain why I like this one.
There is also an outdoor sculpture of a woman driving an ox and wagon, but it's very cartoonish (as mike pointed out, the ox has booties!); but I can't find it on their website. grr.
anyway, a good time was had by all.
