Jon's Mom: How's that Jeni? She's such a nice girl...
Jon: No! No she's not! Come on, mom! We've talked about this!

I have arrived in Oregon. I managed to walk off the airplane not quite sober thanks to a layover in San José (there the bartender's name was José) and am now in the loving care of my mother. During the car ride to the house, she told me that I should take tango lessons like my friend Trevor because women love a man who can dance. My response was that I already bake and I'm not sure I can be more of a Lifetime sort of guy.*
This time round, a lot more or my friends are around. This doesn't mean I'll see them... naw, I will. All of my legos are also here which is pretty sweet. I'm going to build so hard!!
On the plane ride, I discovered a bunch of songs on my (new) iPod that I didn't realize I had resulting in an urge to do some karaoke. Any Oregon readers, be warned; I will drag you with me and make you listen to my tearful rendition of Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood.

* Girl: You never did make creme brulée last year.
Boy: It's because vanilla beans are like $12 for two and the recipe calls for a whole one and I'm afraid I'll fuck it up and end up wasting my vanilla bean.
  Girl: Oh shit.
Boy: One of these days, I'm just going to have to man up and make some creme brulée.
Girl: Okay, I want you to stop and think about what you just said.
