i guess ill do a slight update.
left philly and my new room, took greyhound to North Carolina to pick basil from its stem to help a booty-rap loving country boy named George prepare his CSA for market, master riding skinny tire bikes on uneven gravel roads, and snuggle with a sweet friend.
Caught a ride with a North Carolinian native and learned about teaching at quaker schools and how you have a half hour moment of silence every morning, even the little kids!
Stayed by some freak occurrence for free in a room at Spellman College, that college from A Different World. It was tight. A friend and I ordered pizza and pretended we were college students. The social forum is the most impressive conference ive ever attended. The amount of workshops proved a bit overwhelming, ok i only went to a couple, but they were really great and I saw amazing performances by artists such as alixa and naima and team gina. I peeked in on the kids programing and they were screen printing shirts and making instruments. AWESOME. OK so then I caught a ride with some tight Florida folx back to tally which is where I am sitting now. My friends Casey and Durward are in town, but Ive been sick and not feeling social. I think the social forum kinda wore me out. But yeah...I will be here for another week and then hopefully catching a ride with Avril down toward soflo to meet a baby. Then to Vancouver then maybe a little time in Oregon. Then to Philly to figure out house stuff...ciao.
